How to play

One simple move, repeated with care. The trick is keeping a tube free for when you need it.

  1. Pick up a ball

    Tap a tube to lift the ball on top.

  2. Pour it

    Tap another tube to drop it in: onto a ball of the same colour, or into an empty tube.

  3. Sort every colour

    The board is solved when every tube holds four balls of a single colour.

  4. Plan ahead

    Spare room runs out fast. Undo a slip, ask for a hint, or watch a short video for an extra tube.

  • Smooth pours

    Balls of the same colour on top pour across together in one move, and every ball arches over and settles into place.

    Rainbow balls match any colour, frozen balls wait to thaw, magnets pull a match across. Sealed, mirror and locked tubes change the rules too.

    Stuck? A hint lights up a good next move, and undo takes back a slip.

    Sort a board in fewer moves for three stars, and collect all 15 awards. Stars unlock new ball styles too.

    Colour-blind mode puts a distinct shape on every ball, and a reduce-motion switch keeps the screen calm.

Pick up and pour

Lift a ball and it floats above its tube. Tap where it should go and it arches across. When a few balls of the same colour sit on top, they pour together in one smooth move.

Every finished tube gets a tick, so you always see how close you are.

Special balls to master

Gentle boards come first. Then new pieces join in, each with one simple rule to learn.

  • Rainbow balls match any colour, and two-colour balls count as either
  • Frozen balls thaw once the ball above them moves
  • Mystery balls show their colour once they land on a match, or when a crystal ball reveals them all
  • Magnets pull a matching ball across from another tube
  • Sealed tubes take one colour only, and locked tubes open when a neighbour is sorted

Solve any level in fewer moves to earn all three stars, and work your way through 15 awards for stars, combos and dailies.

Is Ball Sort free?
Yes. Ball Sort is free to play and shows ads. There are no in-app purchases.
What if I get stuck?
Undo a move, ask for a hint that lights up a good next move, or watch a short video for an extra tube. You can also start the board again at any time.
How do I earn three stars?
Sort the board in fewer moves. A long combo of good moves can earn you a bonus star too.
Can I play if I am colour-blind?
Yes. Turn on colour-blind mode in Settings and every ball shows a distinct shape as well as its colour.
Does it need an internet connection?
No. Ball Sort plays offline, Daily puzzle included. Ads and game settings load when you are online.
Do I need an account?
No. Your levels, stars and streak are saved on your device, and uninstalling the game deletes them.
Is Ball Sort on iPhone?
Ball Sort is an Android game. There is no iPhone version yet.
What data does Ball Sort collect?
Your progress stays on your phone. Ads come from Google AdMob, and gameplay statistics help us tune the levels; in the EEA, UK and Switzerland only with your consent. The Ball Sort privacy policy has the details.
